Can I use my debit and credit cards overseas?

Yes, you can use your debit and credit cards overseas. However, you must place a travel note on your account. Visit our Travel page.

How do I order checks?

 

You can order a book of checks through Digital Banking:

  • Log in to Digital Banking
  • Navigate to the 'Services' section, then choose the 'Order New Checks' tile.
  • Follow directions on the screen.

Your order should arrive in 7-14 business days.

If you only need a couple checks, Beginnings Credit Union offers temporary checks printed immediately at each branch.*

How is Average Daily Balance calculated?

The average daily balance is determined by adding the end-of-day balance in the account for each day of the month and dividing the total by the number of days in the month.

When do I get statements?

Checking account statements are sent monthly. Saving account statements are sent quarterly. If a Savings account has an ACH set up on the account, the statement will be sent monthly.

How can I view cleared checks?

You can view if a check is cleared within Digital Banking 

For a check you wrote from your account, find the transaction within your account and click on it.

For a check you deposited into your account, click on 'check deposit' (towards the top when signed in on the desktop version and towards the bottom of the screen when signed in on the mobile version). You will see your deposit history, then click on the check you want to view.

What is stop payment and what are the fees?

Stop payment is a way for you to cancel a check that has not been processed yet. This can be done through Digital Banking by clicking on “Accounts”, then “Stop Payment” or you can give us a call. The fee is $38 per item.
